Yeah, it should be valid; nm-pptp uses the options that PPP passes it,
so I'd expect that this address came directly from PPP. Is it causing
any problems?

Dan

Acording to network manager log (daemon.log) it receives "Internal IP4 Address" (masked as aaa.aaa.aaa.aaa) and "Internal IP4 Point-to-Point Address" (masked as bbb.bbb.bbb.bbb), which are different. But nevertheless, the data reported by ifconfig ppp0 is "inet addr:aaa.aaa.aaa.aaa  P-t-P:aaa.aaa.aaa.aaa" (these two are the same and equal to "Internal IP4 Address"). Isn't this a little strange? Shouldn't the "P-t-P" reported by ifconfig ppp0 be the same as the "Internal IP4 Point-to-Point Address" that appears in daemon.log?

Everything works ok, at least on the ppp connection I use, but I still think is strange... I'm just trying to learn, not saying that there is something wrong with network-manager...
