Hello,
I'm using the latest networkmanager and plugins avaliable from ubuntu karmic repositories and it has being working great so far. But I noticed something that I don't think is right...
I'm using pptp plugin in order to connect to a VPN and the connection works great, but if I execute "ifconfig ppp0" (the device created by NM), i see that "inet addr" is *equal* to "P-t-P". In daemon.log, "Internal IP4 Address" and "Internal IP4 Point-to-Point Address" are different. The "inet addr" that appears in ifconfig (and also "P-t-P") is the same as "Internal IP4 Address".
Is this normal?
Example:
ifconfig ppp0
ppp0 Link encap:Point-to-Point Protocol
inet addr:aaa.aaa.aaa.aaa P-t-P:aaa.aaa.aaa.aaa Mask:255.255.255.255
