network instead of a b/g network (with the same SSID and security
settings) ?
'traditionally' you do that by limiting what channels you scan for the AP for an SSID.

Here at the IETF and next week at the IEEE 802 meeting, the practice is to run different SSIDs for the different channel groups...

How would the information be presented to the user in the UI?
