Hi Dan

Yes I did originally, but I have commented all interfaces except
loopback out of the /etc/network/interfaces now. However I did this
after installing NM.

I'm using the drivers from the ralink site
http://www.ralinktech.com/ralink/Home/Support/Linux.html
RT61_Linux_STA_Drv1.1.0.0
(not tried the rt2x00.serialmonkey.com driver - let me know if you think
that may be the issue). I don't know what the mac80211 refers to I'm
afraid. Grepped the RT61_Linux_STA_Drv1.1.0.0/Module directory for
mac802 and didn't come up with anything.
When I plug the card in I get:
May 26 09:17:27 localhost kernel: [17246128.900000] ra0 (WE) : Driver using old /proc/net/wireless support, please fix driver !
May 26 09:17:27 localhost NetworkManager: <debug info>^I[1180167447.552777] nm_hal_device_added (): New device added (hal udi is '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/pci_1814_302').
Hmm - could that proc/net message be the issue ?
Dan> Can you plug the rt61 card in and then run 'lsmod' ?
OK - not sure whether you wanted the whole lot or just to see the rt61
line, so here is the lot.
