Re: NM requires restart to see encrypted AP's

Did as requested, I rebooted my computer (as mentioned the problem
occurs on a fresh bootup) and the scan results only shows my neighbours
unencrypted access point:

eth1      Scan completed :
          Cell 01 - Address: 00:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
                    ESSID:"leonard"
                    Protocol:IEEE 802.11b
                    Mode:Master
                    Channel:11
                    Encryption key:off
                    Bit Rates:1 Mb/s; 2 Mb/s; 5.5 Mb/s; 11 Mb/s
                    Quality=46/100  Signal level=-73 dBm
                    Extra: Last beacon: 4029ms ago

My own encrypted access point, and any other encrypted access points do
not show up.

I'm running ipw2200 ver. 1.1.2, firmware 3.0 and ieee80211 ver. git-1.1.13

Thanks again

Monty

I can see my neighbours unprotected access point, but not my own encrypted one. Even, if I try to force it to connect to my access point (by using the "connect to other wireless networks") it doesn't work. However, if I manually restart the NetworkManager daemon, it shows my access point and I can connect to it without a problem.
