assertion fails

Hello,

I have NetworkManager 0.5.1 installed on Fedora core 4. At work it works fine, but it fails at home:
compute_nameservers: assertion 'config != NULL' failed
nm_device_is_wired: assertion 'dev != NULL' failed
nm_device_is_wireless: assertion 'dev != NULL' failed

trying to run dhclient eth1 it gives up after a while.

if i disable security in the router (linksys wrt54g), then it works. 

i have mac filtering on, but the mac appears in the enabled list.

i have other computers connecting smoothly to the router.

please help,
