Shorten desktop icon names.

Hi,

Is there any setting to be able to shorten the names bellow the icons in the desktop?
I wanted to make them like in windows, one line shorten name and ended with '...' (three dots).
Because it does that but it let the name be spread across 3 lines below the icon, making a big of confusion if some icons are together.

Not sure if this would be easy to change in the code in case it is not possible to define somewhere.
