In Windows XP using List or Details mode in the file/folder panel it's
possible to drop file to the current open folder anywhere except on top of a
sub-folder. That of course will drop the file in the sub-folder.
Also the selected item is only the folder/file name and not the full row.
For nautilus the selection extends to the full row, in list mode and with
only files listed this is not a problem it's possible to drag&drop or
copy/paste and it will assume the base folder and create the files there but
in case the lists only contains folders then we see this problem.
The workaround stated above of dropping instead to the buttons list works,
thing is it assumes you are using the button mode instead of the text mode.
In my case i only use text mode because it's really handy when manually
filling the path specially for hidden folders avoiding me to use the show
hidden folders that for example in the user home would be a mess.
