Sorry for bothering.. I'm from "out there", just another amitious
"ubuntu" user. I recognized there's has been a lot of talking going on
concerning drives/volumes - the way and where they are shown in
nautilus.
I'd like to reemphasise what Federico Mena Quintero (who was
unfornunatly totaly unknown to me) said on bug:321320
"Basically, I want to access all the drives in my computer without
cluttering my
desktop, the file chooser, or the Places sidebar. And some ice-cream would be
nice, too :)"
In particular I'd like my partitions to show up just the way the
root partition (Filesystem icon) does - that is just in Computer and the Places sidebar.
I don't care about ice-cream though...
Can that be accomplished without patching and recompiling? (desperate guess: maybe with hal methods?)
Any hint in any direction would be greatly appreciated
