Yea. But how you mount the share? If you want to move your Evolution (or
any files for that matter) to another computer, you need to enable some
sort of file sharing there, and mount it on the first one, and drag the
stuff. Changes are high you end up doing this on the shell. There are
some tools but it is not that simple yet. Ximian Setup Tools will help a
lot here for example.

Yeah. But can she setup the filesharing and mount it on the old machine
anyway? I mean, I moved my files from my old laptop to the new, I just
dragged my whole homedir to a firewire harddisk, and mounted it on the
new machine and dragged them to /home/ there. But it is not that simple.
You still need to know a few things like getting the UID right (so you
have access to your own files on the new machine), mounting the disks
etc.

But I agree, we have more and more ways to successfully do things
without the terminal, which is good. I have noticed it is a lot easier
and faster to organize files with Nautilus than to copy files around in
a terminal. But that is also because most of my files are images, and
the thumbnails help a lot in identifying what the folders contain.
