Only taking things that never break is impossible unfortunately- we'd
either have had the "Greatest hits" bug, or the albums my multiple
artists bug, if we didn't have this hack. I'd like to keep the number
of hacks that break in some cases, like this one, down to a minimum: I
don't see the added value of your patch for the original target
audience: people getting music from legal sources. If you rip an album,
the album tag is the same for all ripped tracks, so there is no problem.
If you download an album from itunes, the album tag is correct, so there
is no problem. If you download an album from some artists' site, I'd be
very surprised if it were inconsistently tagged. Etc.
