Printing is a very old feature request. See
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141247 (now closed) for
some brief comments on the idea. Basically, I think it would be a
*lot* of work to get something better than a coloured unified diff
output, which you can get right now just by File -> Format as Patch,
and then paste that into e.g., gedit which will highlight it for you.

If someone wanted to look at implementing a Meld-style side-by-side
printout with chunk borders and such, then I'd be happy to help out. I
think it would need to start with a solid mock-up of what the print
display would actually look like.
