Current trunk broken for mercurial

Hi,

With all the recent activity with meld, I checked out the current trunk and installed it. It doesn't seem to work with my mercurial repositories. I get this error when I click on a file:

Invoking patch failed, you need GNU patch.
'patch --strip=1 --reverse --directory=/tmp/tmpSGcFED-meld'

I'm on ubuntu 8.04 and my patch is indeed the GNU patch:

patch 2.5.9

It seems easy enough to reproduce so I thought I'd through it out there for somebody to look at. I'll try and look at it myself later when I have some time if it hasn't been addressed.
