BTW. I'm in the process of integrating meld into Solaris via
the SFW consolidation (see http://opensolaris.org/os).
This packages won't solve you dependency issues but you
can try and see how they work:

http://opensolaris.org/os/project/scm-migration/files/SUNWmeld_sparc.tar.gz

The only issue I'm seeing is when you exit help I get a core.
