My mistake: I should have said 'if *I* need more than 4 lines, it's a failure.
OTOH, as the OP the question/agenda was set by me:
 'how to communicate between PC 2m from rPi, and keep nice mc facilities',
not how to contact Snowden in Moscow.
The absurd explosion of spurious complexity is killing me.
