Like "Solaris" (and they went to it from "SunOS")? "Java"? (don't
get me wrong, I don't have a pick on Sun, I actually like these names!)
Or "Sodipodi"? "Acrobat"? "Galeon"? "Konqueror"? "Epiphany"? "Yelp"?
"Banshee"? We can see fun in most GNU names as well (Gnu, Gnome,
Hurd: they were all forced into abbreviations so as to fit some real
words).
Of course, they all have some tangential relation to what they
are, but in the sense that any word can be related to anything :)
So, maybe "nug": Network Users Globalization ;-)
Even GNUGL (GNU Globalization Library) or GNUDGE (Desktop
Globalization Environment) ;-)
Cheers,
Danilo
