If you're talking about adding API, no you can't because we are way past
the API freeze. But I'm not sure what this is about anyway.
Since it's a API addition only, I thought it wouldn't be a problem to do it. But you're right, the API freeze is here for something.

He seems to want access to the underlying C structure. Doesn't cobj()
allow that?
Yes it does :-\ I thought not (I think it was not in the past).
