Re: Kick-off meeting for the Papers Committee

Hi everyone!

So the time is set to 25 April 2016 commencing at 14:00 UTC

Sorry we’ll miss you this time Philip.

At this time, please go here: https://meet.jit.si/PaperComm

I don’t expect this to take very long, but I’ve allocated an hour for it, just in case.

Here’s the link to the agenda again: https://etherpad.gnome.org/p/LAS_GNOME_Papers_Committee

I’ll still send a calendar invite for this shortly, just in case.

Talk soon!

Hi everyone,

We’re planning to hold a kick-off meeting for the papers committee within these 10 or so days. The target date to open the call for papers is May 2, 2016.

Sri will take you through the agenda which will include discussions on the theme, tracks, content and target audience. Will also be a good chance to bring you all up to speed on what’s going on with LAS GNOME in general.

To set a date for this, I've created a poll called : "Kick-off meeting: Papers Committee”. You can fill in the poll at the link here: https://framadate.org/xio8I7lEJLKtdrN2

It is a little challenging to find the best time across four time zones, with two of them at opposite ends of each other! We have Portland (UTC -08:00), Chicago (UTC -06:00), London (UTC +01:00) and Kuala Lumpur (UTC +08:00); Cosimo will be in Kuala Lumpur during those dates.

You can see from the suggested time slots that there is a combination where Cosimo in KL with latest start time at midnight, and Sri in Portland with the earliest start time at 7am.

Do select as many options as convenient for you so that we can pick a time that works well for everyone.

Thank you again for volunteering to be part of the Papers Committee!

best,
adelia
