Can you not just add a symlink to /usr/bin or opt?
Or just add an icon to the desktop and symlink that to the folder?
I don't want to require root access; there's no need for it. I do plan
on dropping a link to the script onto the desktop, unless anyone has
objections to that (I know some people don't like scripts that put
icons on their desktop).
