This is the same idea i had some days ago going home with the train. I
definitely would vote for this version for now, because it would be
rather easy to write and support. Debian packages for Gst CVS stuff
would be much better for system-wise, but it will be very big hassle
and nightmare with depencies.
But in other way, we can make these special Gst CVS packages that way
that you can install them seperate from whole system and provide
script which would inicialise it. In that way Debian packages would
make more sense, because not only Jokosher would need it, but such
envorement could be used also for testing bloating edge Gst apps,
newest versions of rhythmbox, totem, etc.
The whole envorement could resist in /opt/gstreamer, there could be a
script /usr/bin/gstreamer-cvs-env, etc.
In fact, we could create semi automatical system which could create
regular builds of GST cvs packages.
