The mockup reproduces the options that are on last year's website. I don't actually know the origin of that part of the form, why those age groups were used, or what the data is going to be used for. Does anyone from last year's organising team know?

Since we're on this subject, is there any reason not to just ask for the respondent's age? That's certainly more flexible and useful as a form of data.
