Re: [guadec-list] Visa invitation letters

Thank you for the review! I updated the travel sponsorship letter to
reflect that it can be partial, and uploaded both templates and the
instructions at https://wiki.gnome.org/Travel/VisaInvitations

Hi all,

Attached are two letter templates - one from Linux Logistique with an
invitation and another one from the GNOME Foundation with the travel
sponsorship information. Please let me know if you think any changes
should be made to them.

The letter from Linux Logistique looks great. The one from the GNOME
Foundation maybe should mention "partial travel sponsorship" or
"sponsorship towards their travel" as it can often be partial
sponsorship and we won't know until after the tickets are booked in
many cases.

I will then work with Srini, Tiffany, Alexandre, and Andreas to get
these filled out and signed via private channels. Here is the
information we'll need to fill out the letters.

Information needed from the invitees:

Name and address of the embassy or consulate general where you will
apply for the visa (ones in India can be found at
http://www.ambafrance-in.org/The-Competent-consular ):
Full name:
Last name:
Pronoun (he or she):
Dates of stay in Strasbourg (check in date - check out date):
Place of stay in Strasbourg (arranged by the GNOME Foundation - Foyer
de l'Étudiant Catholique - or something else):
If talk accepted, its title:
Date of birth:
Passport number:

Information needed from the travel committee:

Full name:
Amount sponsored for air travel:
Number of nights sponsored for accommodations:
Dates for the nights sponsored (check in date - check out date):

Thanks,
Marina

As per the consulate, it has to be signed by a French National with
local address & telephone number.

It will indeed be signed by a representative of our local entity, most
likely me as I'm the secretary.

If the above is provided, I could
help here, if you are looking for some help. Im a GNOME Foundation
member for more than 10 years. I can prep the document and send to
that person, who can sign, scan and email it back.

Great! Thanks a lot. Tiffany will also work on this with you.

With almost 6 weeks pending and the consulate in India needing 2-3
working weeks, I'd like to put a rush on this if possible.

Marina is currently putting the finishing touch on the template.
She'll let you know as soon as she's done, and she will be there to
guide you.

Again, thanks to you three for taking care of that!
