Ah, I'm sorry, it is also possible in VS2010: Properties->Configuration Properties->C/C++->Command Line, and you can find a text field "Additional Options", where you can enter your options.

BTW - are you building from a command line or using the VC IDE?  In my IDE project properties I couldn't find anything that would toggle that flag - although it worked just fine if I added the flag manually.  I'm just wondering if there's a way of setting it in my IDE compiler properties?

Well, I'm not sure, whether it is possible in Visual Studio 2010. But in 2013 version, there is a text field for that: Properties ->Configuration properties->C/C++->All Options -> Additional Options. You can put there some additional flags, e.g. /v2
