could you attach the configure log please. this seems like one hell of
a weird problem you're having. i'll go back and dig up the complete
list of cygwin packages that i have installed and e-mail that to you.

if you really need the DLLs urgently, then just use the prebuilt
version temporarily until we can figure out this problem.
