Re: Gtk-perl instalation problem

Quoting Ross McFarland <rwmcfa1 neces com>:
beyond that, if i had to guess based on the first error message you got i
would wonder if the gnome development libraries were installed, of which i
assume that gnome-config is part.

gnome-config was the precusor to the modern pkg-config. There used to be a
-config for each package, then with Gtk2 they realized this was wasteful and
standardized. The problem is probably lack of devel packages intalled. I
would suggest getting out your [Marcelo] install discs and searching for
gnomeprint*devel* and installing those packages. You may need to install more
before you are done. The problem could also be that you are trying to install
Gtk-Perl on a modern system that really should be using Gtk2-Perl. If your
distro is newer than a year or two old then you sould go to the site Ross
mentioned and download the new modules (NOTE: you may still need to install the
devel packages for your system).
