Ah, no, it's in Gtk3 only.
Please try to debug it and figure out what's going wrong, then file a bug
against Gtk3.
Not sure, if I understand this correctly. I am using gtk+-2.24.13 not gtk+-3.*
And it only happens with the build on Lion 64bit but not on Leopard 32bit (ppc/intel).
Regarding localization, I am using English and LANG is set to en_US.UTF-8.
Interesting. I found a sorting problem with Gtk3, not Gtk2, when built in 64bit on Mountain Lion.
en_US pretty well rules out localization being the culprit, I guess.
