Update text in tooltip?

Hi,
I'm wondering if it is possible to update the text of a tooltip "on the
fly"? That is, I want to update the text without the need for the user to
re-activate it? As it is now the tooltip will disappear when I change the
text in it. And the user has to move the mouse over the eventbox to see
it again.

Is it possible?
