I cannot reproduce the problem with the current development version
3.1.3.
Ok i'll give it a try and let you know.
I did compile gthumb 3.1.3 on my desktop pc but now I get the following
error when I try to resize the file :
Could not save the file. Could not find a suitable module to save the
image as "image/jpeg"
Not sure how to fix this. I'll try to launch a Ubuntu 13.04 live cd
later and check if the exif bug is still there
Anyway the problem is not the orientation of the resized image
but the orientation of the original image that is not used to rotate the
image before scaling it.
Sorry I don't understand this: why gthumb must modify the orientation
field when all I'm asking is to resize my image ?
the orientation field makes sense only in the original image, when you
create a new image it is better to reset it.
Sorry again but I don't understand this logic. I don't see how resetting
the orientation after a resize operation is useful to anyone. These are
two different things. My understanding is that gthumb should keep this
orientation when user ask for a resize.
Am I correct ?
