current git version fixes the problem for me, can you test it please?
I tested it and it does not solve the problem for me. I'm puzzled that
gThumb seems to be running away - reading the disk and consuming memory.
Is there some debug code that I can use to see what is going on?
In the case where I moved 140 files from the directory, the thumbnails
for the remaining 598 images load quickly.
maybe among those 140 images there is one particular image that causes
the problem, for some reason generating the thumbnail for that image
consumes a lot of memory.
After they are loaded, the
system monitor shows no CPU usage, but 128MB of RAM used. Thumbnails for
all these images are in the thumbnail cache. Thumbnails in the cache are
typically 20KB each. What uses all the memory?
I just noticed that memory never decreases, there must be a memory leak
somewhere, I need to investigate.
