Debian is in some sort of code freeze, so the Debian gThumb maintainer 
can't upgrade to 2.12.0 (as much as he wants to), and Ubuntu follows 
Debian, so Ubuntu has an ancient package too (although an external 
packager is providing 2.12.0).

Hopefully, everyone will just start using Fedora :-)
