There are already grilo packages for the n900 which were built my me. I
needed to create branches for fremantle because of some reasons:
* GVFS works, or at least worked, horrible in the device, so I
ported grilo back to GnomeVFS in that branch
* Youtube had problems to retrieve the URL in that branch because
of problems with libgdata and due to those incompatibilities I
couldn't use the new code implemented in grilo which could
improve that plugin, but it is something that needs some love
probably.
* I compiled only four plugins: filesystem, shoutcast, jamendo and
youtube, which were the only making sense in the device.
Víctor Jáquez was dealing with these points after me, so maybe he can
say something here. Anyway, you can take a look at those branches in
grilo and grilo-plugins.
