Please define 'templates' and 'functions' in this context.

Sending just data gets you only the default plot.
Don't you need to be able to send script commands too?

Just very basic commands.


I doubt we'd be sending just basic commands.  Gnumeric needs to be
able to send full configuration specs, and to be able to extract it
in order to import/export from various formats (.gnumeric and .xls)
