Before I cant use Guppi, cause it delivers all these bonobo errors and a blank diagram screen. Now after this installation I have an old friend back: ** WARNING **: 'IDL:CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0' : while attempting to activate a graphing component. oaf-run-query "repo_ids.has('IDL:GNOME/Gnumeric/Graph_v1/Manager:1.0')" should return a value. but the funny thing is that oaf-run-query "repo_ids.has('IDL:GNOME/Gnumeric/Graph_v1/Manager:1.0')" gives: number of results: 1 OAFIID:GNOME_Guppi_Gnumeric:da7874cd-e72b-4458-b685-6718caf3d573guppi is correctly installed, but might be failing when called. Try running guppi-gnumeric on a seperate console to see what messages it puts out. This might give you a indication on what's going on.
That was indeed the problem: This version looks for python1.5 but I have 2.2 installed... So I turned back to mandrake and found another problem: guppi-gnumeric gives: guppi:gnumeric-CRITICAL **: file guppi-gnumeric-graph.c: line 860 (gup_gnm_graph_generate_series): assertion `manager->arrangement_len >= 1' failed. <?xml version="1.0"?> <graph:Graph xmlns:graph="http://www.gnumeric.org/graph_v1"> <graph:Legend> <graph:Position>east</graph:Position> </graph:Legend> <graph:Plots> <graph:Plot> <Type xmlns:graph="http://www.gnumeric.org/graph_v1.dtd" name="Bar"> <horizontal>true</horizontal> </Type> </graph:Plot> </graph:Plots> </graph:Graph> guppi:gnumeric-CRITICAL **: file guppi-gnumeric-plot-bar.c: line 71 (bar_plot): assertion `series != NULL' failed. I can't find the default fonts needed by Guppi. In 99% of all cases, this means that there is a problem with your installed version of gnome-print. OK! Reinstall gnome-print, found one error during installation, fixed it... but all errors remain (not to mention that I have done oaf-slay and delete /tmp/orbit-emmel ...) Can anyone tell me what the default fonts for guppi are??? Thanks Thomas
and that is in fact a value... So am I completely alone in this world with a gnumeric without any Guppi??? Just one piece of a small diagram! Please....I don't think soIs there anyone else solved this problem?Works from cvs hereMy distributions was a SuSE7.1 (long ago). Gnome is currently from mandrake cooker, gnumeric and Guppi from ftp://people.redhat.com/hp/gnomehide/7.2/RPMS/ And the rest is KDE and floating...That is surely a devils blend! -- Roy _______________________________________________ gnumeric-list mailing list gnumeric-list gnome org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnumeric-list
