I get errors after gnumeric installation on IRIX6.3. How to solve them?

I finally installed Gnumeric and a bunch of files required.

When finally I typed gnumeric, I got the following error on the shell:
"Glib-WARNING **: getpwuid_r(): failed due to: Function not implemented."

A little time after, a window from gnumeric popup with the following messages:
"Please verify your gnome-print installation and that your fontmap file (typically located in
/usr/local/share/fonts/fontmap) is not empty or near empty.

1. Values of LC_ALL and LANG environment
2. fontmap file, see above "

After I press the button OK, another message appears on the shell:
" _ALerror: code:1 ALsetfillpoint: invalid port handle:0 "

First, I don't know what we have to verify in the gnome-print installation.
Second, I searched for a fontmap file in the path /usr/local/share/fonts/fontmap and I didn't found
none. The fontmap files that I have found in the system are:
/var/adm/aplletalk/psfiles/fontmap
/usr/freeware/lib/ghost/fontmap
/var/freeware/share/ghostscript/6.0/lib/fontmap

I tried to copy each one of them to /usr/local/share/fonts/ but the problem persists.
I also tried "setenv LC_ALL LANG"
After typing gnumeric, I didn't get the error "Glib-WARNING **: getpwuid_r(): failed due to:
Function not implemented.", but I got another, "Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by C library".

What's happening here? Could you help me to solve this problems?
I'm spending a lot of time trying to install gnumeric, and I my hope is getting lost.
