You mean the current keyboard applet (included the shortcuts tab) with
all its tabs? If so, I would at least remove the 2 layout tabs and add
them to a separate dialog (opened via a button on the Keyboard tab).

yes, I think so. Anyway, I am meeting today with a girl from the
usability team at novell and will bring all the suggestions for capplets
merging and see if they can do some usability testing and bring up their
suggestions. So, if you have any other ideas than the ones brought so
far on this list, please let me know before 6PM CET, so that I add them
to my list for the meeting.
