(Addendum: of course I know about the issues about serving XHTML with the
correct MIME type for IE etc, but this is an academic exercise. If you
really want to do this, you can make sure your webserver serves up
text/html for IE, and the correct MIME type for everybody else. You can't
really trust MIME types anyway.)
