FWIW, that is my understanding as well.

Will Walker provided one of the prototype designs for this icon
(though clearly modelled one from another OS).  He has been using it
on the a11y team pages for a while now:

I assume that he, at least, is OK with the icon.

If there are any areas of the accessibility guide that need fixing in
response to this change then I'm willing to help do that.

So, can we get docs team approval for this change?  Please - its much nicer :)
