Hi!

Finally, I found the time to introduce myself and the project I'm
working on.

My name is Sebastian Pölsterl [1]. I'm a 21 year student from Germany. I
started contributing to Deskbar-Applet about 9 months ago and recently
started my own GNOME project [2]. This is the first year I applied for
GSoC and luckily got accepted right away.

My task is to refactor Deskbar-Applet [3]. This includes seperating the
GUI completely from core. The core will provide a D-Bus interface so
that 3rd-party applications can make use of Deskbar functionality. The
GUI part will defenitely need the most refactoring, because it's
currently unable to maintain and full hacks. In addition, a
quicksilver-like feature to choose from different actions is on my to-do
list.
