Re: My extension has an error but lg says it doesn't...

I have a similar problem trying to port my extension to the forthcoming 
3.8 release. I used to debug it by running gnome-shell in a terminal 
and looking for errors logged there. When trying to run my extension I 
get the following error:

JS LOG: Extension "dash-to-dock micxgx gmail com" had error: Error: 
Expected type interface for Argument 'actor' but got type 'undefined' 
(nil)

with no other indication of the file and line where the problem occurs. 
Neither 
~/.cache/gdm/session.log nor  ~/.xsession-errors provide further 
information. 

Any idea of how to find the source of the problem?
