I really like Marc's idea. The bottom left corner would be very nice as a hot corner.
Maybe an extension to allow a choice ?

The option to completely disable the hot-corners and substitute them
with hot-keys would be even better. A lot of people try to switch as
less as possible between mouse and keyboard.
