But thought I'd also float the idea here: using pageUp/pageDown for
workspace navigation in the overview mode. It seems like a very
natural feature to me, any reasons against it?
No that seems like a very natural use of those keys. I can't see them used in the overview mode for anything else but other keybindings, but that's bit of a stretch.
