	You really should check out Hollis' recent work on
pilot-mailsync. It supports a ton of new features:

What does it do?                                                                

        pilot-mailsync transfers mail to and from your PalmOS handheld's
        Mail application. It uses sendmail (or equivalent) to send mail
        from the Palm. It uses c-client and so is capable of transferring
        mail to the Palm from a variety of sources, including local mbox
        and mh mail files and POP3 and IMAP servers.
