I suggest monthly or every other month. Every 2-weeks is really too
much work. Much more than you expect...
Well some may need more, ohers need less (GNOME Goal #3 for example is a
one lien patch)...
But it's true that 2 week may be too short.
I suggest that we can move on to a new/next goal when all the target
modules for the current goal have at least a patch fixing the issue.
We shouldn't wait all the patches to be commited to move on because
this would surely hold us back too long on each goal.
That sounds good. Maybe we can think of different possible conditions to
end it. For example:
- having a patch for all the projects
- having 40% of the patches being applied
- having a maximal duration of 3 weeks
I don't want to let the goals last too long to keep the dynamic aspect
of the project, which I find really interesting. Wasn't that the purpose
of Kathy Sierra at last GUADEC ? Creating passionate users ? Well for
this to happen, the GNOME goals should IMHO run at a steady pace. Even
if we have to leave some of the softwares with no patch. It'll be easy,
weeks or months after, to point out these unachieved tasks to
newcommers. Or maybe that could even become a GNOME Goal by itself :-)
