Re: How to contribute for the translations that we did

Hi,
I looked into some Hindi files, had few comments
- I think it would have been nice if we had known what you'll were
doing in advance, since it would have helped in completing
translations for upcoming release ( 2.22 ).
- while more contributions & new translators are always welcome, its
good to drop a mail to an existing team, that they are taking up some
modules for translation/completion.
- possibly give the reference POT or orinigal PO files also, which
were used for these translations, so we can figure out the
differences or what new stuff is added and need to be reviewed.
- advanced intimation would help in future work, since we recently
had one Hindi review workshop ( 7,8th March ) in Delhi and would have
been nice to have your translators also to be part of it, so we could
have assessed the work better.

For Hindi atleast I would request the translators who did this work
to come forward ( so people know them for their efforts ), they join
indlinux-hindi list (
https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/indlinux-hindi ).

Lastly while getting translations to a complete status is important
but not the only thing, in the long run maintaining them along with
feedback from users is what matters more, building a community around
it is more important than just trying to have isolated work pushed
upstream.

(PS: I am yet to see a post on indlinux-group list abt your work or
assuming that you have tried to contact others in the list of names
below)

Regards,
Karunakar
