imlib link error - false alarm

It seems that I forgot to re-remove Gtk+ 1.0 when I had to rebuild my
/usr/local last week.  :-(  Now building fine --- and now that classes are
out, maybe I can try to track down why Eterm works on Solaris but
gnome-terminal doesn't (unless it's started working since my last build).
