I have had soooo many problems running Gnome with Enlightenment -
especialy with core dumps and constant crashes of various kinds. Since I
installed window maker gnome has yet to give me any problems.I suggest
you try window maker ( www.windowmaker.org ). Made all my problems go away
like magic.
