however there is feature freeze and I dunno if I would actually apply it now

I pretty much know what I want to do with this ... mostly likely I won't
apply any patch unless it does something cool ... anyway ... this is
something I got definately planned ... however I wish to keep both binary and
source compatibility within 1.0 releases and this requires changes to the
applet interface ...

however ... the day the 1.1 development starts ... expect this change to make
it in ...
