Re: Gnome vs. Gimp?

Yes, it is. SuSE Linux 6.1 will come with appropriate packages; I'm
still hoping all involved packages will be available via FTP the next
days...

| And, if yes, how do I do it? If not, please tell me which of the
| SuSE - RPM's, the Gnomes had on their server, contain the GTK 1.1.x
| stuff (is it the GTKN - RPM?) and which of the original SuSE - RPM
| contain the old version!

To run the Gimp and GNOME from SuSE Linux 6.0 you need these packages
(could be installed at the same time!):

Gimp:
    glib
    gtk

GNOME:
    glibn
    gtkn

And if you want to compile GNOME packages, install glibndev and gtkndev
(aka version 1.1.xx).
