Yes, it is. SuSE Linux 6.1 will come with appropriate packages; I'm
still hoping all involved packages will be available via FTP the next
days...

To run the Gimp and GNOME from SuSE Linux 6.0 you need these packages
(could be installed at the same time!):
Gimp:
glib
gtk
GNOME:
glibn
gtkn
And if you want to compile GNOME packages, install glibndev and gtkndev
(aka version 1.1.xx).
