Running SuSE 6 here. I installed the glib and gtk packages from the
suse cd and have the glibn and gtkn packages installed from gnome. I
want to configure gimp 1.0.2 but the configure says:

checking how to run the C preprocessor... gcc -E
checking for gtk-config... /usr/bin/gtk-config
checking for GTK - version >= 1.0.1... yes
configure: error: The GIMP requires GTK 1.0.x. See the file 'INSTALL' for help.

I also have the devel libs for gtkn and glibn installed. I checked out
the INSTALL readme for gimp 1.0.2 and it goes into some length about
telling the configure script where things are located. It seems that
the gimp configure script finds the later gtkn stuff and not the gtk
stuff I just installed since I installed gtk right from the cd source.
