Gnome libs 1.0.4 make install problem

I am trying to install The 1.0.4 Gnome libs on my Redhat 5.2 system from
the source tar.gz's. The configure and compiling works fine but when I
go to `make install` I get the following error:

/usr/bin/install: ./html/index.sgml: No such file or directory
-- Fixing Crossreferences
/bin/sh: gtkdoc-fixxref: command not found

I had no trouble installing the 1.0.3 libs....
